This is probably the most authentic biography you'll read today. You'll see lots of letters above, but that's not what I am about, by any means. People buy into people, right? So here I am.

My name is Katie, I live in beautiful Saddleworth just outside Manchester. I'm a happy space-nerd, borderline obsessed with Gary Vaynerchuk and I love raccoons. Getting outside and walking makes me especially happy, as does spending time with my partner and our two ridiculously fluffy cats. I love the gym, learning mountain biking, fitness and have done the odd mud run. I am a big-picture thinker, and my mind is always full of impactful ideas as well as unique systems to make them happen.

I'm passionate about self-value and identity, and love helping others with this too; I trained as a coach, broadband consciousness trainer, and in multiple other cognitive techniques. I've also been mentored for years, by one of Bob Proctor's top mindset coaches in the world, who I'm lucky to call a good friend. I am so fascinated that I'm just finishing up a Masters in Emotional Wellbeing too.

I also happen to be a trained veterinary surgeon, having spent nine years in clinical practice and gaining an RCVS Internal Medicine Certificate.

Back in 2016, this would have been a very different introduction. I would have started with "my name is Katie, and I'm a vet." All of my self-worth was on my job title; this was a double-edged sword. The veterinary profession is amazing, but I left all hobbies behind. I became overworked (on my own terms), feeling like a fraud for any achievement and constantly chasing happiness. I put myself under more stress than clients, colleagues or patients ever did; I chased perfection constantly, staying longer and longer to 'disaster prevent'. My brain looked for things that went wrong and tortured me, however minuscule they appeared externally. It was mentally and physically unsustainable. I had achievements galore, everything external that I could want... but internally, I was in a civil war, and the reality is the backstory was way before 2016, and I share this in my live talks. I felt as though one person went and achieved all the external accolades, and then internally, I felt like a worthless fraud. (Pssst... if you want to learn more about my journey, I've added some podcast links below).

The good news was that my life totally transformed, and I felt like a different person - me. I even trained in the methods that helped me. I completed the Broadband Consciousness residential trainer course, this was the method that changed my life the most, nearly a decade ago with Liz Ivory and Richard Wilkins - I am fortunate that Liz is still my teacher today. I live this, and it gets stronger every day. I also gained additional certifications in life coaching, journal coaching, mindfulness cognitive behaviour therapy, neurolinguistic programming, and cognitive behaviour therapy - to add extra layers and insights to the same core principles. I have used my post-graduate critical appraisal skills to dive deep into the evidence on imposter thoughts, and always aim to give a compassionate, authentic and actionable viewpoint; this is what I believe has made me a sought-after speaker in this space.

Enough about qualifications.

I shared my path online and gained over 20,000 followers, plus created an impactful, online business myself, and three others alongside colleagues (VetYou, Vet Empowered and VETstagram). I have worked as a consultant alongside many of the industry's largest companies to help them create impact online and in events, as well as speaking on global stages and as a keynote.

I now regularly speak across many industries on imposter syndrome, finding your value and how I went from overworked professional that felt like a fraud, to being the recipient of an award for inspiring a profession."
